Overview
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Medicine (Travel Assignment)
Location: Albany, NY
Pay: $65.00/hr - $68.00/hr
Travel: We are also offering travel and per diem packages that are based on eligibility.
Schedule Notes: Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Float: Will be required to float to other units as needed
Client is seeking an experienced Med Surg Travel Nurse (RN) for a dynamic clinical role in a high-acuity setting. This position requires strong Med Surg experience in large academic hospitals. Candidates will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care and support hospital operations.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care to patients in a Med Surg unit
- Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and ancillary staff to implement patient care plans
- Monitor and document patient conditions, medications, and vital signs
- Assist with diagnostic testing, patient education, and discharge planning
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
- EPIC EMR experience – REQUIRED
- Experience:
- 1 year hospital experience required with a passing competency testing score
- 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience – No testing required
- Licensure/Certification:
Active RN License in NY State (pending license may be considered) & AHA BLS Required
