Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU position requiring a NY RN license, two years recent specialty experience, and EPIC EMR proficiency.

• Work in a combined Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU) setting
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:00
• Thirteen week contract assignment
• Care for complex surgical and neurological ICU patients
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Competency testing must be completed with two attempts allowed to pass
• More than three call outs in a thirteen week period will result in contract termination and makeup shifts are required
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with the application
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
• No local candidates allowed who live in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington Counties

• Active NY RN license is required at time of consideration
• Minimum of two years of recent ICU experience in the relevant specialty
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI
• EPIC EMR experience is mandatory
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required;
  Canadian SIN not accepted
• Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation
