Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Job – Albany, NY

Registered Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – October 28, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,540 per week
• Setting:
  Labor & Delivery Unit
• Employment Type:
  
  Travel RN assignment
• Dress Code:
  Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR:
  Epic (Epic EMR experience required)

L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York State or compact license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• National Certification Corporation (NCC) or Intermediate AWHONN certification (issued within the past 3 years, or proof of class registration; certification required for compliance)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong professionalism and communication skills

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal health, promptly recognizing and responding to complications
• Administer medications and assist with labor interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document all care in the Epic EMR system
• Educate patients and families on the labor process, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate clinical environment
