Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit with an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience required.

• Position is located in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Care for patients requiring short-term observation in an emergency department environment
• EMR used is Epic and experience with Epic is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Candidates must not reside within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties or within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• No local candidates from specified counties or within the 50-mile radius are eligible
• Competency testing required for ICU and MS applicants, with two attempts to pass
• More than three call outs during a 13-week contract may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks of the last call out
• Requests for time off must be submitted with the application
• Medical scrubs are required
• Travel pairs are not permitted

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the emergency department specialty
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI must be provided
• Epic EMR experience is required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required with only medical exemptions accepted if signed by a licensed professional
