Assistant Director of Nursing​/Infection Control Nurse

Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is located just outside of Albany in East Greenbush, NY and we are looking for an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing. The chosen candidate will be energetic and demonstrate great leadership qualities. At Evergreen Commons we have two ADONs that work closely with the Director of Nursing, helping with coverage and increasing overall efficiency within the department.

The ADON will assist in overseeing the nursing team, ensuring quality customer service and compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations, as well as our policies and procedures. The ADON will be in charge of specific duties within our nursing department.

• Prior experience working in a long‑term care setting.
• Completed the 19.3‑hour CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course (preferred).
• Coordinates and directs the total planning for nursing services to meet the needs of all residents.

• Current New York RN unencumbered license required.
• Min. 3 years experience in long‑term care settings.
• 2 years management experience preferred.
• 1 year staff education experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Evidence of great leadership skills.
• Comfortable with computer systems and electronic documentation.

This is a full‑time, exempt position. Flexible hours including some weekend work are required. Great pay, health insurance, dental, time off, 401(k), and paid orientation.
