Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU/SICU night position requiring a NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Work in a combined Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU/SICU)
• Night shift position from 19:00 to 07:30
• EPIC EMR utilization required
• Serving a critical care patient population with neurological and surgical needs
• Floating is not specified
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Competency testing for ICU candidates is required with two attempts allowed to pass
• Travelers may not reside in the following NY counties:
  Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington (must live outside 50 mile radius)
• More than three call outs in a 13-week contract will result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks from the last call out
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Only one position may be applied to at a time for this facility

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent specialty experience in Neuro ICU or SICU
• Current AHA or RQI BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• US Social Security Number required;
  Canadian SIN not accepted
• Medical exemption only for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional
