Assembler – Electromechanical Prototyping
Location: Rochester, NY (100% Onsite)
Contract: 18 Months
Pay Rate: $30 – $35/hr (W2)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (Flexible)

We are seeking a highly skilled assembler with strong electronics and electromechanical experience to support prototype builds within a fast‑paced engineering lab. This role works closely with engineers, project stakeholders, and manufacturing teams to bring next‑generation products to life.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble electromechanical prototype products following verbal and written instructions
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to refine assembly best practices
- Provide recommendations to improve assembly processes, reduce cost, and shorten build time
- Redline and update assembly procedures and Bill of Materials (BOM) as needed
- Support Manufacturing Engineers in developing efficient work cells
- Communicate progress, issues, and suggestions professionally and effectively
- 5+ years of electronics and/or electromechanical assembly experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with hand tools, including:
- Screwdrivers, torque drivers, wrenches, pliers
- Soldering experience (through‑hole & SMT; certifications are a plus)
- Ability to perform light fabrication:
- Hand drill, drill press, basic machining tools
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Associate degree or higher in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience updating technical documents and providing structured improvement feedback
- Work closely with engineers on innovative prototype products
- Hands‑on, engaging work in a true engineering lab environment
