Ready Mix Plant Operators are responsible for successfully batching various mixes, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the plant.

• Operate the plant in a safe and professional manner, able to multi‑task and troubleshoot.
• Navigate Command Alkon automation.
• Have a basic understanding of mix components and quality control – aggregate, sand, cement, fly ash, and admixture.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

• Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance.
• Work independently, without direct supervision.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays.
• Communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Dispatcher, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators and other employees.
• Conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.
• Have good depth perception and coordination to operate controls.
• Have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Pre‑Employment screenings are required before being hired at Callanan Industries Inc.

• Ready‑mixed experience preferred but will train the right people.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

• This position offers a Union rate of $28.39–$31.39 per hour.
