Jetty Extracts is looking for a Laboratory Technician to support our team at our Production Facility in Albany, NY.

About the role:

Location: Albany, NY

Reports to: General Manager

Compensation Range: 27.50 to 32.50

The ideal candidate for a lab technician role in the cannabis industry will have a degree in chemistry and hands‑on laboratory experience, preferably in cannabis testing willing to work long hours. Attention to detail, knowledge of quality control and ability to adhere to SOPs are all crucial. Strong problem‑solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a passion for the cannabis industry are also important for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of lab processes, which can include but are not limited to various aspects of:
  Filling, Formulating, solventless extraction, hydrocarbon, post‑processing, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, and distillation
• Cleaning and preventive maintenance of all equipment, tools, and work areas
• Escalate any technical issues related to processes or equipment to their Supervisor
• Maintain safe and efficient production, working with delicate and expensive equipment
• Maintain accurate records for all production phase steps, using paper and electronic logs, METRC/Biotrack track‑and‑trace, and Odoo ERP
• Meet or exceed production goals with few to no errors

Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or production environment.
• Keen ability to follow instructions and receive feedback.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• Must be able to lift more than 40lbs at a time
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
