Location: City of Albany

National Grid is hiring a Right of Way Supervisor in the Land and Property group in Albany, NY. This is a Hybrid role with in office work two to three times a week.

Job Purpose

We are an innovative team that manages property rights for the Gas and Electric business. Our team acquires over 2,500 easements annually and maintains over 500,000 property rights and is highly skilled in real estate, law, negotiation, acquisition, title, and condemnation support services.

Key Accountabilities What You’ll Do
  • Supervise workforce through coaching, counseling and team building to ensure tasks are carried out in an efficient manner
  • Oversee the operational workload of team to ensure allocated resources are fully utilized in order to deliver against agreed upon work plan and execute work activities within planned unit and budget cost
  • Ensure supervised teams comply with safety standards, policies and processes in order to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk for all staff
  • Build good working relationships with internal & external customers and manage the day-to-day relationship with them to understand their requirements and deliver appropriate solutions within National Grid policies and processes
  • Promote and implement best practices in order to ensure all work tasks achieve high productivity and low costs
Qualifications
  • Four (4) year Degree from accredited college preferably in Business/Real Estate/Paralegal Studies/Economics/Civil Engineering/Surveying or 7+ years of related experience
  • Completion of professional level courses or experience in Real Estate Practice, Real Estate Law, Contracts, Title Examination, Negotiation, Appraisal, Environmental
  • Proficiency with computer applications required, for example, MS Excel, Word, ESRI GIS
  • Demonstrated skills to build effective, respectful, working relationships required
  • Ability and knowledge to develop standard operating procedures for field personnel to perform Right of Way/Real Estate/clerical activities preferred
  • Potential for minimum travel within service territory
  • Valid driver's license required
Salary

$79,000 - $93,000 a year
