• Transfer trash and other items from outside of dumpsters into dumpsters; pick up and sweep areas.
• Keeps dumpster/compactor doors closed.
• Perform "trash-out" duties at vacated apartments daily, removing abandoned furniture, trash, boxes, and transferring to dumpster or storage.
• Assist with "make‑ready" duties when requested by the Community Manager or Maintenance Superintendent.
• Perform area clean‑up and safety related duties.
• Detail property regularly: management office, laundry room, mail rooms (if applicable), pathways show units/models, stairways and breezeways, dumpster areas, recreation areas, grounds front of office, walkways between buildings, exterior lighting fixtures, parking lots and drives.
• Keep grounds neat and free of litter with rakes, sweeps, shovels as warranted.
• Help clean and maintain storage and shop areas.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Maintenance Superintendent and Community Manager.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a maintenance, janitorial or porter position preferred.
• Basic proficiency in reading and writing English to understand warning/caution labels.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Moderate knowledge of basic hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pint rollers/brushes).
• Attention to detail in cleaning duties.

• Exposure to dirt, dust, cleaning solvents and chemicals.
• Occasional overtime and/or weekend work may be required to maintain cleaning standards.

$16.50 per hour
