Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products.
CoreDuties and Responsibilities
- Support Process Improvement Initiatives: Assist in identifying, analyzing, and improving processes to enhance efficiency across supply chain departments.
- Define New Procedures: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) that optimize day-to-day practices in planning, purchasing, logistics, and quality.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and present data to support decision-making and process optimization efforts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with supply chain teams to understand challenges and implement solutions tailored to departmental needs.
- Contribute to System Development: Participate in creating and testing robust systems for improving workflow and efficiency within the supply chain.
- Gain a foundational understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing and technology.
- Communication and Collaboration skill enhancement
- Develop effective communication skills by collaborating with team members and presenting findings to different stakeholders.
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master's in Supply Chain, or PhD degree in a related program
- Must have reliable transportation to the office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Excellent follow-through
- Must be driven and self-motivated
Estimated Base Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.00
