What You’ll Do

Join our Labor & Employment Group in Albany, where you will handle complex investigations, litigation, and counseling matters for employers. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, manage high‑stakes disputes, and contribute to the continued growth of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal corporate and government investigations.
  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving employment‑related claims and agency charges.
  • Defend against wage and hour matters, including collective and class actions.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Assist in collective bargaining negotiations with labor unions.
  • Defend unfair labor practice filings at the NLRB and improper practice charges at PERB.
  • Advise clients on FMLA, ADA, ADEA, NYS Civil Service Law, and religious accommodation requests.
What You’ll Bring
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of labor and employment law experience.
  • Demonstrated experience handling investigations and litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and exercise sound judgment.
  • Commitment to client service and the highest ethical standards.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $140,000-$200,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
