The position is in support (operational, enhancements, debugging) of the UISIm project, a multi-year program effort to redesign, implement, and test business process improvements for the Department of Labor’s customers, partners and internal staff. UISIm replaces the 40+ year old Unemployment Insurance (UI) legacy computer systems and manual procedures with a new and improved integrated computer system.

• Design and develop test artifacts including:
  • Test Strategy document detailing how quality will be infused throughout the SDLC process
  • Test Scenarios/Cases (business entities/objects and their relationships)
  • Traceability matrix outlining the correlation between business rules, use cases, and corresponding test scenarios
  • Functional Test Plan describing the who, what, where, how, and why of each business function will be tested
  • User Acceptance Test plan detailing entrance and exit criteria, including users in the process of decision-making re. testing specific business scenarios
• Specific activities include:
  • Create SQL queries to verify tables are correctly populated
  • Participate in meetings with Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects to understand requirements
  • Analyze business and technical requirements, identifying test scenarios based on business process
  • Execute functional test cases
  • Work with data management to acquire test data
  • Review release notes with each build for accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze test case failures; report defects using QMC designated testing tools (HP ALM/QC, JIRA, Selenium, SoapUI/Post Man)
  • Create test execution summary report and communicate results to manager and project team
  • Coordinate all test artifacts in common test location in QMC designated testing tool set for version control
  • Re-test defects as assigned, following defect management process
  • Validate each screen with web accessibility compliance tool for American Disabilities Act compliance
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium framework
  • Conduct automation testing and lead automation team members in the automation of test cases using Selenium tool set
  • Troubleshoot automation testing scripts, using knowledge of JAVA, SQL, Selenium language

• Experience (10+ Years)
• Conduct automated and manual tests to ensure software performs as necessary and meets user requirements, and develop/maintain user and technical documentation
• Ability to logically sequence procedures and understand applications and/or technology views

• 100% onsite
• 60 months as a lead tester, writing/executing:
  Test Scenarios/Cases, Traceability matrix, Functional Test Plan, User Acceptance Test plan
• 60 months experience in Selenium Web Driver, Java, J2EE, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Eclipse IDE
• 60 months writing SQL queries to validate correct back-end data processing and creating test data
• 48 months using Git Hub, Maven, Jenkins, and knowledge with CI/CD processes
• 48 months testing web services in an SOA environment including functional and performance testing using JMeter/SoapUI/Post Man
