Overview
Job Description Project/Program — OMH Medical Informatics, Technical Services. The Web Designer will join the Technical Services unit within the Division of Medical Informatics. In this role, you will serve as the design lead responsible for implementing and maintaining UI/UX standards across all Technical Services developed applications, while also creating user documentation, training materials, data visualizations, infographics, and help resources that support digital literacy and system adoption across OMH.
DayTo Day
- Design intuitive user interfaces for web applications that meet accessibility and healthcare usability standards
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform human-centered design decisions
- Create help documentation, user guides, and training materials for diverse technical literacy levels
- Develop infographics and data visualizations that communicate complex healthcare information clearly
- Establish and maintain design systems and style guides for enterprise consistency
- Collaborate with development teams using agile methodologies to ensure designs align with technical feasibility and MVP delivery timelines
- Support digital transformation initiatives by creating visual assets for stakeholder communications and change management
Web Designer: Produces and maintains websites, including web graphic design; interface design; authoring standardized code and proprietary software; user experience design; and search engine optimization
Mid-Level: 36 - 60 months:
Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance.
- 54 Months experience in Interface Design
- 54 Months experience in implementing user experience principles
- 48 Months designing infographics for communicating complex information
- 48 months designing layouts for training material delivery
- 36 months in implementing accessibility features utilizing W3C Accessibility standards (WCAG)
- 24 months experience in Front-End Programming
- 18 months experience designing low code application front-ends
- 6 months experience in design and implementation of Microsoft SharePoint sites
- 6 months experience creating low code solutions in Microsoft Power Platform
- Bachelor s Degree or higher from an NASAD accredited Graphic Design Program
