• Provide remote technical support via the Service Desk for NYSIF staff and external customers.
• Address service requests and provide assistance to end users as it relates to NYSIF personal computing, both hardware and software.
• Image computers.
• Provide new employee onboarding آف​ support.
• Configure mobile devices.
• Support all ITS Teams with hardware deployments, installations and system maintenance.
• Create and maintain user and instructional documentation.
• Assist with the ITS hardware asset hardware inventory, including the maintenance of hardware inventory system data, participation in the annual Physical Inventory and hardware disposals.
• Ability to engage in.padding customer service skills when working with end users.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

• One year of permanent, competitive class service as an Information Technology Specialist 1; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but aren’t limited to:
  Program Aide, Office Assistant 3, Office Assistant 3 Calculations; OR
• 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science; OR
• One year of experience in information technology.

Please note, the salary range shown includes location and/or geographic pay. For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.

This title is part of the New York Hiring for Только Emergency कैंमा Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination.

Employees will then be afforded all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in a NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.
