Location: City of Albany
Dev Ops Engineer II – PRD#116
Duration: 12 months
Location:
Albany, NY (50% Onsite). Resource can work either from Albany office or NYC office.
A Dev Ops Engineer for Salesforce Platform is responsible for establishing and managing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automating testing and deployment workflows, and ensuring multi-tenant environment stability across agencies.
Mandatory Qualifications- Level II
- More than seven (7) years of experience working on complex projects with 2 or more years in a leadership role as a Dev Ops Engineer - Level II - More than seven (7) years of Dev Ops experience in Salesforce platform.
- 2 years of experience of Salesforce Metadata API, Change Sets, Scratch Orgs, and Unmanaged Packages.
- 2 years of experience of command of Git, YAML, and pipeline scripting.
- 2 years of experience with Salesforce Security, Shield Encryption, and SSO configuration.
- Design, implement, and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage environments, sandboxes, and version control (Git, branching strategies).
- Establish automated deployment, rollback, and release validation workflows.
- Coordinate sandbox refresh schedules and data seeding processes.
- Automate deployment approvals through integration with Salesforce CoE (Center of Excellence) governance (Architecture Review Board).
- Maintain metadata and package management for multi-agency environments.
- Support "Tenant Management” and data isolation strategy across agencies.
- Integrate automated unit and regression testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with QA and Solution Architects to create reusable testing frameworks.
- Track release metrics (defect rates, success/failure ratios, deployment durations).
- Implement monitoring and alerting (e.g., Salesforce Shield).
- Work closely with Solution Architects, and Developers.
Provide release readiness checklists, training, and handbooks for solution teams. Mentor new Dev Ops engineers during CoE scaling phases.
