Location: City of Albany
Data Warehouse Developer (Mid-Level Role)
Location: Albany, NY 12236 (Hybrid – up to 50% remote with approval)
Contract: 5‑Year Contract (Minimum 6‑Month Commitment Before Replacement)
Work Hours: 40 hrs / week | Monday‑Friday
Onsite Requirement: Must be onsite in Albany, NY for minimum first 6 months
The Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for developing BI Publisher reports, OBIEE/OAS dashboards, ETL processes, SQL tuning, and supporting enterprise data modeling efforts. The resource will work closely with reporting and analytics teams on ongoing DW enhancements and migrations.
Mandatory Experience Requirements Reporting & Analytics Tools- 1 year BI Publisher complex reports using MS Word templates
- 3 years OBIEE MUDE (Multi‑user Development Environment):
- RPD development
- Dashboards
- Analyses
- 3 years ETL experience using:
- Oracle Warehouse Builder
- Attunity Compose
- Informatica Power Center
- Pentaho
- ODI
- Talend
- 5 years SQL + PL/SQL in Oracle
- 2 years SQL tuning
- 3 years data modeling for reporting & analytics
- Extra ETL experience beyond 3 years
- Additional SQL/PLSQL experience beyond 5 years
- Additional SQL tuning beyond 2 years
- Additional Attunity Compose experience
- Develop and maintain BI Publisher complex reports
- Create and optimize OBIEE/OAS dashboards, analyses, and RPD layers
- Build and migrate ETL workflows using enterprise tools
- Tune SQL/PLSQL for scalable performance
- Support data modeling for analytics layers
- Collaborate with analytics/reporting teams on DW enhancements
Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
