Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP, HR)

Location: Albany, NY | Salary: $160K–$180K + Benefits

Are you a strategic HR leader ready to assess, design, and build the future of HR for a large, mission-driven organization? We’re seeking an experienced Senior Vice President of Human Resources to join the executive team and lead transformative initiatives that strengthen culture, talent, and organizational capacity.

This role will oversee all aspects of HR strategy—including talent acquisition, workforce development, total rewards, employee engagement, and HR operations—while evaluating current structures and implementing scalable solutions to support growth and innovation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Assess existing HR functions and build a high-performing team and infrastructure to meet future needs.
  • Drive cultural change and create career advancement programs to strengthen retention.
  • Oversee talent strategies, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Lead compensation, benefits, and compliance for a multi-site workforce.
  • Implement data-driven HR solutions and leverage systems like Workday for analytics and reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior/executive role.
  • Proven success in complex, multi-site organizations; nonprofit or healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience building HR functions and teams during periods of organizational growth or transformation.
  • Expertise in organizational change, culture building, and strategic HR leadership.
  • Strong communication, influencing skills, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
