Travel RN – Progressive Critical Care (Days) – Albany, NY

Assignment Start: 12/22
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend; rotating holidays
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
Other Requirements: Epic experience required

Unit Overview:
Nurses in the Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region. Patient populations include:

• Respiratory failure

• Sepsis

• Closed head injuries

• Multi-system organ dysfunction

• Endocrine disorders

• Complex traumas and surgical complications

Responsibilities & Skills Required:

• Competent in care of medical and surgical populations

• ACLS certified

• Advanced hemodynamic management including pressor titration

• Management of antihypertensive, sedative, Narcan, and thrombo-embolic drips

• Skilled with arterial lines, CVP lines, EVDs, orthopedic traction

• Infection prevention protocols

• HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and Oxypendent management

• Capable of managing an average patient load of 3 high-acuity patients

Preferred Background:

• Large-scale adult Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience

• Community hospital ICU experience
