As the Drug Checking Technician
, you will play a pivotal role in individuals lives, making a significant impact through:
- Conduct initial screening and/or intake activities for referred participants in need of harm reduction case management to evaluate participant needs
- Explain process and limitations of spectroscopy
- Utilize the spectrometer to analyze samples for clients receiving services at the main office
- Work with agency leadership to develop data tracking tools in accordance with agency and Department of Health guidelines
- Conduct syringe exchange to eligible participants as part of mobile outreach team
- High School Diploma and 2 years of outreach/case manager/casework experience
- Associate s Degree in Health, Education, or Human Services preferred
- Valid NYS Driver s License, Registration, and Insurance required
- Personal cell phone required
