Information Associate – St. Peter's Hospital – General Admission – Part Time – 12 Hour Day Shift.
Position SummaryAs a member of the Patient Care Centered Team, the Information Associate provides clerical, communication, reception, supply management and other supportive services for the Patient Care Center to ensure high quality services to patients, family members and other hospital staff. The Information Associate will be available to meet the needs of all Patient Care Centers as needed.

- Maintain and organize patient medical records, including chart updates, copy and delete long‑term patient records, and scan advance directives to EPIC.
- Prepare medical records at discharge and collate discharged patient records for Medical Records and Care Center.
- Attach loose reports to the proper record and complete specific tasks assigned by the Nurse Manager, Supervisor or Senior IA.
- Act as a receptionist: answer, screen and route telephone calls; assist patients, families and the public; relay intercom information; fax medical information as requested.
- Maintain supplies, keep bulletin boards current, file daily assignment sheets, distribute center mail and faxed materials, and order unit supplies through People Soft.
- Support unit functions: ensure patient names on daily assignment sheets, maintain bulletin boards, report maintenance issues, check computer equipment, and maintain nursing stations with no food or beverages.
- Precept new IA’s as assigned and fulfill unit‑specific responsibilities assigned by Senior IA or Operations Manager.
- High School Diploma required; AAS preferred.
- Minimum two years of work experience in a health‑related area.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and time‑management skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and various health insurances.
$16.20 – $20.75 per hour, based on experience, skills and education.
