Position: Secure Detention Clinician (3924)
Location: City of Albany

As a Secure Detention Mental Health Specialist(
Clinician
) you will be responsible for using evidence based treatment modalities and assessment tools to be used by the court and to develop a behavioral management plan for youth in care. The goal of the position is to implement clinical treatment plans by facilitating case management services, individual and/or family counseling sessions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to implement evidence based clinical models
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to listen, act as a role model, and ability to build therapeutic relationships, working effectively one on one with individual youth and their families
  • Demonstrated decision-making, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written, including attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a culturally and economically diverse population; must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with extreme discretion with demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Job Requirements
  • Limited Permit eligible or LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT Required
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in social work, or Mental Health Counseling or related field required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience working with population served preference.
  • A clean, valid driver’s license is required.
  • Demonstrated skills and working knowledge of MS Office program.
Salary
  • Limited Permit: $74,000
  • Licensed Clinician: $77,000
  • Licensed + 2 years of relevant experience: $79,500
  • Licensed + 5 years of relevant experience: $83,000
