Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in an allied health field and a current nationally recognized certification or valid license (e.g., OT, PT, medical laboratory technologist, clinical lab tech, medical records, respiratory therapist, speech‑language pathologist, licensed M.D., nursing, health care administration).
- Healthcare Reimbursement/Billing emphasis: must possess a billing or coding certification (CMRS, CCS, CCS‑P, CPC, CPC‑H, RHIT, or RHIA).
- Experience working in a Medical Assistant or allied health field.
- Provide instruction focused on teaching and learning to help students meet all course outcomes and classroom objectives.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching and facilitation skills.
- Participate in campus‑wide initiatives supporting recruitment, retention, and graduation goals, including monitoring and adjusting program performance and meeting with program advisors regularly.
- Fulfill all administrative duties related to instructional responsibilities.
Compensation is a good‑faith estimate of base pay. Detail of the total compensation package is provided during the interview process. Adjunct Professors sign a contract with the Dean at the start of each term that outlines the class schedule, contact hours, and dates. Campus‑based classes run 15 weeks and are paid semi‑monthly over an 8‑paycheck period. For a 3‑credit class the salary range is $53.33‑$57.77 per contact hour ($2,400‑$2,600 total).
For a 4‑credit class the range is $53.33‑$62.22 per contact hour ($2,400‑$2,800 total).
