. This position is part of the Patient Engagement Center, scheduled for a Day shift in the United States. The salary range is $40,495.10–$52,643.64 per year.

The Pre-Service Representative I is responsible for the initial touchpoint with our patient population to provide an exceptional patient experience and assist in scheduling services for our Hospital and Practice. The role requires working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and understanding complex scheduling needs while remaining empathetic and compassionate. Responsibilities include verifying insurance eligibility, interpreting responses, capturing health insurance information, applying contractual benefits, and collecting patient financial obligation pre-services.

After one year of successful performance, the incumbent may be promoted to Pre-Service Representative II in accordance with the Career Ladder requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide initial patient contact and support across all channels.
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately.
  • Use eligibility application to verify insurance and capture information.
  • Interpret insurance benefits and apply contractual obligations.
  • Collect patient financial obligation pre-services.
  • Exceed expectations by delivering exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of customer service experience.
  • Customer service personality with ability to engage patients and customers via telephone.
  • Insurance knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret patient’s insurance benefits and apply contractual obligations.
  • Ability to multi-task in stressful, high patient volume environment.
  • Team-minded with strong problem-solving skills.
