Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Maternal Special Care night shift position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and at least 2 years of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities

• Work in the Maternal Special Care/Antepartum unit in a hospital setting

• Night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM

• Care for high-risk obstetric patients in the antepartum period

• Use of Epic EMR is required

• No blocked scheduling permitted

• More than 3 call outs within a 13 week period may result in contract termination; make up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of last call out

• Travel pairs are not allowed

• No local candidates from specified counties within a 50-mile radius:
Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington

• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with application

• Competency testing required for ICU units; applicants with less than two years of experience must pass MS testing

• Travelers may submit to only one position at a time
Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Maternal Special Care or Antepartum nursing

• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI

• Epic EMR experience is required

• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

• Must provide valid US Social Security Number;
Canadian SIN not accepted

• Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation signed by a licensed professional
