- Lead a variety of tax planning projects for a diverse client base, providing up-to-date tax advice you can rely on.
- Lead teams and collaborate in a culture that values listening and information sharing.
- Analyze an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights.
- Identify opportunities and risks and communicate them to clients.
- Research current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Build client relationships with knowledge of real estate, hospitality and construction industries.
- Develop clear plans to improve clients tax activities.
- Research clients business operations and tailor advice to their needs.
- Supervise a motivated team, ensuring team members have the skills and opportunities to grow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
- Seven to ten years of real estate tax experience in a professional services environment.
- Extensive knowledge in real estate tax technical topics (partnership taxation, REITs taxation and qualification, allocations, compliance, due diligence, planning and structuring).
- Experience managing budgets, people and projects; business development within the market.
- Proven track record in a professional services or tax organization; technical writing and research in a tax context.
- Ability to prioritize on multiple complex projects; strong influencing skills; willingness to travel; balanced hybrid work environment.
- CPA qualification or state bar membership.
Initiative, ability to handle complex data from multiple sources, and readiness to further build your reputation as a professional advisor. Strong software skills are expected.
