Tax Manager

A well-established public accounting firm in Albany, NY is seeking a Tax-focused Manager to join its growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who values collaboration, flexibility, and a supportive firm culture while continuing to grow technically and professionally.

• Manage and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and pass-through entities
• Oversee multiple tax engagements and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
• Provide tax planning, consulting, and advisory support to clients
• Serve as a primary client contact and build long‑term relationships
• Mentor and develop staff and senior tax professionals
• Research and resolve complex tax issues and stay current on tax law changes

• CPA or EA required (active or expected post–April 15)
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
• Prior experience reviewing returns and managing engagements preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Competitive base salary of $85,000–$110,000
