EY is committed to shaping your future with confidence and supporting your career in a globally connected, diverse environment. This role focuses on multi-state sales/use tax recovery projects for large organizations as part of EY’s Sales and Use Tax Lookback Review Center of Excellence (COE).

As a Sales and Use Tax Manager in the COE, you’ll apply your tax knowledge across a range of projects, collaborating with mentors and training programs to develop professionally.

• Handle multi-state sales/use tax recovery projects for large, sophisticated clients
• Provide up-to-date tax advice to clients in a collaborative, information-sharing environment
• Work within a highly collaborative culture to support client needs
• Develop clear plans and approaches for sales and use tax recoveries
• Prepare and defend sales and use tax refund claims
• Participate as part of a motivated team and contribute to team development
• Manage a team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills and opportunities to reach their potential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline
• Professional knowledge in a broad range of sales and use tax processes, concepts and tools
• Experience managing budgets, people and projects
• Proven track record in a professional services or tax organization
• Technical writing and research experience in a tax context
• Ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects
• Strong influencing skills and the confidence to challenge existing processes
• Willingness to travel as needed; comfortable in a balanced hybrid environment

• An achieved CPA qualification, or certification as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, or other relevant designation
