Position within EY's Financial Services Organization (FSO), engaging in captive insurance tax consulting, tax compliance, and feasibility projects.

This role is part of our Insurance Tax practice focused on captive insurance tax engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver captive insurance tax consulting memos and tax opinions.
- Conduct captive insurance feasibility studies with commentary on tax implications.
- Lead financial statement audits and review of tax returns.
- Manage client relationships, including building effective relationships and analyzing engagement results.
- Oversee staffing and economics of engagements.
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of tax experience.
- CPA or licensed Attorney required.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
- Experience with income tax support for audits and for insurance companies and C Corporations.
- At least 5 years of experience preparing 1120, 1120‑PC, 1120‑L and consolidated group returns; reviewing these returns mandatory.
- Experience in One Source and/or Corptax environments.
- Bonus: experience with captive insurance companies.
- Knowledge of how captive insurance companies operate.
- Direct experience in state and local taxation (state return compliance, income tax accounting, state apportionment fundamentals).

- A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranging from $103,600–$189,900 in the U.S., and higher in certain metro areas. Includes medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
