Engineering Manager

We are seeking to hire an Engineering Manager for the Albany NY office. Ideal candidate would be either a mechanical, electrical, or energy engineer. As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible to focus on three main aspects:
1) Managerial leadership,
2) Technical leadership, and
3) Business development. Projects will be focused on innovative, clean energy, electrification/decarbonization projects. Position goals will include recruiting and growing the mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering presence in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination with program and department managers, design and project teams, and construction managers.

• Business development of clean energy projects in the geographic region.

• Recruiting and supporting growth of a mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering team.

• Mentoring of the regional clean energy engineering team.

• Preliminary systems assessment and high-level project strategy development.

• Field investigation and condition assessment of existing systems, primarily mechanical, electrical, energy systems.

• Assist in the development of project and proposal preparation.

• Development of basis of design scopes of work, schematics, and P&.

• Development of implementation plans & schedules.

• Presentation and report writing.

• Meeting with clients to support engineering projects throughout design and construction.

Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy engineering.

• PE license is Preferred

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or other industry related certifications a plus, but not required.

• Expertise in multiple technical areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering.

• Capable and responsible for QA/QC on assigned tasks and projects.

• Ability to lead develop of construction documents, and support bidding and construction activities during implementation.

• Experience developing MEP and energy projects.

• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation.

• Ability to collaborate with internal staff and clients.

• Experience with Microsoft Office software.

• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software is a plus.

• Experience Building modeling software is a plus.
