CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil Site Engineer I to join our Land Development Team in Albany, NY
, where you will support site planning, design, and permitting efforts for a wide variety of development projects. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your technical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and see projects progress from concept through construction while making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in site planning and civil design tasks for land development projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility layouts.
• Support senior engineers in preparing site plans, construction drawings, technical reports, and permit applications for land development projects.
• Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices.
• Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands‑on experience in observing existing conditions, construction activities, and site constraints of land development projects.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred.
• Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team.
• Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus.

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $78,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
