About the Role

An established and award-winning engineering firm, recognized for its expertise in structural, civil, and transportation engineering, is seeking a Regional Transportation Operations Assistant Manager to support its growing team. This mid-size, multidisciplinary firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions on a diverse range of projects, including multi-million-dollar bridge rehabilitations and cutting-edge transportation systems.

As the Regional Transportation Operations Assistant Manager, you will work closely with key clients and serve as both a Technical Specialist and Project Manager on multiple complex transportation projects. With a solid national presence and an award-winning portfolio, the firm's continued success depends on fostering collaboration and excellence within its team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations within the regional office, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Support senior management in developing and executing strategies to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and reinforce the firm's industry leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance to project management teams to ensure project completion, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to recruitment, mentoring, and staff development to foster professional growth and collaboration.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes and systems to enhance project delivery and support ongoing success.
  • Qualifications
    • A degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the civil industry.
    • PE licensed in New York or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
    • Authorization to work in the United States.
