Position Title: Health and Safety Specialist
Location: Albany, NY
Base Pay Range: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr
Position OverviewECLARO's Client is America's largest state power organization and a national leader in energy efficiency and clean energy technology. This role will support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) shared services and provide consistent and thorough support for Canal Construction as well as Canal Design, Support Canal Floating Plant, and the overall function of the shared services EHS.
Responsibilities- Review and comment on all design documents/submittals.
- Review and comment on all submitted health and safety plans.
- Develop templates and guidance for future submittals based on reviews and internal guidance.
- Attend all construction progress meetings.
- Perform scheduled site visits to active construction projects.
- Follow up on noted deficiencies with Construction Managers.
- Schedule meetings with Transportation Maintenance Engineers, Floating Plant Supervisors, and Director of Marine Infrastructure.
- React to meetings with work plans.
- Review proposed new equipment.
- Develop health and safety plans for Canal Floating Plant tasks.
- Perform site visits to Floating Plant job sites.
- Work with Canal Managers/Supervisors to address action items.
- Work with Canal Managers/Supervisors to develop standards.
- Work with Canal EHS reps to familiarize and assist on emergent work and extended leaves.
- Work with Corporate EHS to ensure processes are followed and initiatives adopted.
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Excellent communication skills.
$40 - $50 per hour
