Our client in the local Albany area is actively seeking to add an Electrical Engineer to the staff to support commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Our client is actively interviewing and has positions available for mid-level and senior engineers (EIT or PE).

• Design power distribution, lighting/controls, and fire alarm systems
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and creating single-line diagrams
• Produce construction documents, specs, and technical reports
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, and local codes
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary MEP teams
• Support construction administration (RFIs, submittals, shop drawings)
• Lead the design and specifications for assigned projects, (i.e. power distribution, lighting & lighting control systems, data networking infrastructure, security & fire detection systems) design layouts, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations etc.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including drawings, details, schedules, equipment specifications, and associated reports
• Develop electrical design plans and schematics for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and national code regulations
• Integrate electrical systems into multi-disciplinary designs
• Coordinate with design team professionals of other disciplines as they perform their designs to ensure proper coordination on construction documents
• Ability to professionally communicate with clients, architects, internal team members, regarding associated projects

Requirements:

• BSEE required
• Three or more years, (3+) in electrical MEP design
• Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong communication and documentation skills
