Jacobs is looking for a seasoned Engineering professional to join our Data Center Design team. This role is open across the United States.
Base pay range$95,200.00/year – $/year.

ResponsibilitiesAs an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer you will:
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Provide on‑site assistance during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff and discipline leads.
- Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver world‑class solutions for new facilities.
- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Produce control system designs and develop options and optimizations for process control, instrumentation, and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
- Engineer in Training (EIT).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute innovative ideas.
- Quick learner, driven to broaden knowledge base.
- Collaboration ability in multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Passion for buildings and construction.
- Experience mentoring juniors or leading small teams.
- Experience with Data Center Design.
