Training Instructor

The Environmental Management Services (EMS) Department at the Albany VA Medical Center in Albany, NY, is looking to hire a Training Instructor. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating through the respective EMS Managers/supervisors/Leads all training programs as they relate to the staff meeting the Albany VAMC mandatory training requirements.

MAJOR DUTIES:

* Performs work in the development of courses for training program.

* Performs work associated with the evaluation of course training programs.

* Assist senior management in evaluating courses.

* Gathers relevant information, analyzes pertinent date, develops findings, and make recommendations that are largely molded on precedents.

* Performs duties involving the instruction of training courses or the modification of course content and/or materials.

* Instructs courses in a Program Instruction.

* Provides instruction covering a wide variety of topics in well-established areas of a subject-matter field.

* Uses a wide range of teaching methods or tools, depending on the students' learning requirements.

* Performs work involving modification of training courses.

* Conducts studies and performs analyses on course-related subjects and/or coordinates activities involving Programs of Instruction.

* Performs work related to coordinating projects for the development and implementation of training course or course materials.

* Coordinates meetings and the gathering of information for specific analyses and tests.

* Enters employee's credit hours for attending training into Healthcare Education System

* Performs other duties as assigned
