15-LOVE is seeking a dynamic and multi-talented Program Coordinator to inspire and mentor youth in the Capital Region. As a key member of our team, you will blend your passion for tennis with a dedication to holistic youth development. This role involves leading after-school and weekend tennis instruction, facilitating educational and social-emotional learning sessions, and assisting with vital administrative and program management duties in the office.
Key Responsibilities- Tennis Lessons:
Lead engaging tennis lessons (weekdays, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.) and various Saturday hours for youth aged 4-18, focusing on skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport. - Youth Mentorship:
Promote positive youth development by delivering off-court programming focused on literacy, STEM, and social-emotional skills like self-regulation. - Foster holistic development:
Incorporate 15-LOVE's core values, including education, positive values, and healthy habits, into all program activities via off-courts. - Encourage future players:
Identify and foster talent among participants to help them continue their tennis journey. - Administrative support and development:
Office assistance – Provide administrative support as needed, which may include tasks such as data entry and communicating with families. - Promote the organization:
Act as a positive ambassador for 15-LOVE, helping to promote its mission and programs to the wider community.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience coaching or teaching a youth sport, ideally tennis.
- Ability to effectively engage and build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience or strong aptitude for developing educational and social-emotional curricula.
- Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) and a willingness to learn new systems.
- A passion for youth development and a strong belief in the 15-LOVE mission.
- First Aid and CPR/AED certification required
- Will need to be Safe-Play certified and pass a background check.
- A reliable source of transportation to travel to various program sites throughout the Capital Region.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and other staff members.
- Compensation will be dependent on experience.
