Lecturer - Accounting and Law

The lecturer will teach 3 courses per semester at the discretion of the department chair and perform services as necessary including:

• Organizing the Junior Accounting Orientation.
• Directing the EY Leads program.
• Attending department meetings and serving on selected School committees.

• Instruction and preparation. Will teach a 3‑3 teaching load.
• Other services and duties such as JAO and EY Leads.

• Reports to:
  
  Chair, Dept of Accounting and Law.

• Knowledge of different subjects of Accounting in order to teach them, including intermediate and advanced financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, accounting information systems, government and not-for-profit accounting, etc.

• Master's degree or doctorate degree (e.g., DBA) in Accounting or related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
• In their application materials, candidates must address their plan and ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in varying modalities (in‑person, online, and/or hybrid).
• Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.
• Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role.

• Experience teaching different courses in Accounting.
• Potential to teach in the three graduate programs.
• A PhD in Accounting or a related field (e.g., Analytics, MIS, Informatics or Economics) from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
• CPA – Current NYS CPA or equivalent.
• Evidence of institutional service.

• Typical office environment.

• Professional Rank and Salary Range:
  Lecturer (10 Months), A0, Salary commensurate with experience.
