Position: School Social Worker (.50 FTE)
Location: City of Albany

LOCATION:

Special Education – Schenectady City School District

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide social work counseling services in the individual, group and consultant setting, and as directed by student Individual Education Programs. Student populations served include elementary, middle and high school students with disabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assessment, case management, counseling and referral for youth and families.

Consultation and collaboration with teachers and administrators.

SALARY:

BOCES employee salary commensurate with experience and in accordance with contract language.

CLOSING DATE:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid NYS School Social Worker certificate

LCSW preferred

Strong clinical experience with youth and families.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
