Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and capacity building in the learning outcomes assessment process for colleges and student affairs programs/units.
- Provide expertise and consultation throughout each step of a typical assessment cycle (e.g., designing of learning outcome statements, alignment of curriculum content and educational activities to learning outcomes, assessment planning, development of formative and summative assessment techniques, data collection, assessment reporting).
- Regularly monitor results from annual program and institutional assessments, as well as program review, consulting and advising academic and student affairs leadership on interpretation of results and implementation of plans in achievement of continuous improvement.
- Ensure the use of quality assessment data to inform program/course/intervention development, maintenance, and improvement.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on assessment methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Conduct analyses; prepare reports, visualizations, and present results in support of overall university-wide initiatives and both academic and student affairs assessment processes.
- Review and provide feedback on all accreditation-related reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to accreditation guidelines.
- Work closely with analytics and decision support teams across the university to establish data-driven decision-making processes and reporting mechanisms (e.g., dashboards, visualizations, hard-coded reports) for learning outcomes assessment and accreditation purposes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accreditation-related documentation and activities.
- Support LOQI and Excelsior by participating in initiatives, task forces, committees, and other duties as assigned.
- Earned master’s degree in an Educational or Social Science field with an emphasis on assessment.
- At least three years of experience working in assessment, accreditation, institutional research, or institutional effectiveness at an institution.
- Experience with institutional, national, and specialized postsecondary accreditation standards, practices, and goals.
- Expertise in assessment, data analysis and educational outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse members of the college community including students, faculty, staff, administrators, and accreditors.
- Demonstrated ability for effective organizational skills and ability to connect to institutional strategy while displaying attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare, visualize, and present data and reports effectively.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain knowledge of university data systems, definitions, and procedures.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Leadership skills, ability to motivate staff in continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in an Educational or Social Science field with an emphasis on assessment.
- Knowledge of State/Federal postsecondary education accountability initiatives & trends.
- Experience with ACEN, IACBE, CACREP, and/or APA accreditation standards and processes.
- Experience with student affairs/co-curricular assessment.
- Knowledge of institutional self-assessments and student outcomes assessment principles, methods, and techniques.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
The hiring salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $. The hiring salary range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.
