Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology in our Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a busy, full-scope academic setting with access to a wide range of clinical, surgical, and educational resources.
About the Department:
- Full-service tertiary care department with:
- 30 part-time and full-time physicians
- 10 advanced practice providers
- 2 full-time genetic counselors
- 24 residents and 6 fellows
- Over 2,500 deliveries per year
- Annual ambulatory clinic volume of 18,000+ visits
- Over 2,000 generalist surgical cases and 250+ family planning procedures per year
- Patient population includes complex maternal and fetal co-morbidities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general obstetrical and gynecological care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in hospital and home call coverage
- Engage in teaching medical students and residents
- Opportunities for clinical research
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Eligible for or currently licensed in the New York State
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in teaching and academic medicine
