Overview
The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Albany Medical College, within the Albany Med Health System, is actively recruiting a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to join the team. The division at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech therapists and master’s level clinicians serving patients from a catchment area of 25 counties surrounding the Capital District of New York.
Responsibilities- Diagnostic assessments and medical management of patients up to 21 years of age with developmental concerns including Autism Spectrum Disorder;
Developmental delays; ADHD;
Learning disorders;
Behavioral health disorders including anxiety;
Neonatal follow up. - Partnering with pediatric practitioners including psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology and genetics.
- Contribute to practice innovations such as a Medical Home for children with ASD, a feeding team, and a fast track developmental screening for children under age 5.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
- Interest in developing innovative programming within the scope of DB practice.
- Experience or interest in teaching house staff and medical students.
- Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations.
Competitive salary range for Assistant Professor commensurate with experience: $190,000-$198,000. Salary for higher academic rank to be addressed at time of interview.
- Competitive base salary range for Assistant Professor $190,000-$198,000 with additional incentive bonus opportunity.
