Assist in bread-and-butter oral surgery: implants, wisdom teeth, IV sedation, and consultations

Albany (10 operatories) and Latham (5 operatories)
Strong referral base and high patient volume means no shortage of hands-on experience Locations:Albany Office - 7 Southwoods Blvd, Suite 1, Albany, NY 12211
Latham Office - 11 Century Hill Drive, Suite 200, Latham, NY 12110 Schedule: 4 days in Albany, 1 day in Latham | Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-2pmYour Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, and patient charts in advance of procedures

Assist chairside during oral surgery procedures including sedation, extractions, and implant placements

Monitor and update patient vitals, comfort, and post-op recovery instructions

Sterilize and maintain instruments following strict surgical protocols

Coordinate inventory of surgical supplies and track implant materials

Support the surgeon and anesthesia team with setup and procedural assistance

Provide detailed pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers

Maintain electronic records, chart treatment notes, and assist with digital imaging as needed What Were Looking For:High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assistant program (preferred)
Oral Surgery Assistant Certification (preferred)
DANB, ICE, RHS certifications (state-dependent)
Valid CPR/BLS certification

Minimum of 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience (required | oral surgery preferred)
Excellent communication skills and calm presence in surgical environments
