Responsibilities- Operate a computerized switchboard console.
- Perform basic keyboard functions including typing.
- Direct all incoming and in-house calls through transfers, paging, conference calls, overhead paging, and faxing.
- When notified of an emergency situation, initiate appropriate paging and contacting personnel promptly.
- Process and triage all customer calls in a clear voice using good English.
- Remain calm and maintain professionalism when handling delicate or volatile customers.
- As first responder to emergencies, announce and dispatch appropriate parties in a clear voice for Code Blue, Code Yellow, and other emergency situations.
- Document necessary information concerning daily and emergency situations in an office logbook.
- Maintain any necessary additions, deletions, and changes to daily operations on-call schedules and switchboard related functions.
- Assist in working hours other than scheduled when requested by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have switchboard experience.
- Good short‑term memory.
$16.20 - $20.75 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
