The largest concrete construction company in the U.S. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee large-scale concrete construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout. The project of focus in the beginning of this role will be on a Life Sciences build in Albany, NY. This role is responsible for project financials, scheduling, field coordination, safety performance, documentation, and ensuring client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in concrete construction, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Lead all phases of concrete construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
- Manage project start‑up activities, constructability reviews, procurement, and subcontractor onboarding
- Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and cash flow to ensure profitable outcomes
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, sequencing plans, and milestone tracking
- Collaborate closely with superintendents and field teams to ensure accurate execution of all concrete scopes
- Direct, support, and develop project engineers, assistant PMs, and field supervisors
- Lead project meetings, provide regular updates, and maintain strong client relationships
- Enforce company safety standards and maintain an incident‑free jobsite environment
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and budget
- Monitor productivity, labor performance, and material usage to maintain efficiency
- Ensure quality standards are met through inspections, coordination, and adherence to specs
- Participate in company initiatives, business planning, and team development efforts
- Bachelor’s degree + 12 years of construction experience OR 16 years of construction experience without a degree
- 8+ years project management experience
- Proven success managing project budgets, schedules, and complex documentation requirements
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising project teams and subcontractors
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and risk management
- Concrete construction experience
- Experience using project management platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or similar tools
- Industry certifications (PMP, CM‑Lean, OSHA 30)
- Experience with large general contractors or design‑build firms
