Construction Manager
Location is flexible as this role will be on a project site.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in development of plans, schedules, and work alongside other superintendents, supervisors, administrators on project related activities.
- Actively work with the Senior Construction Manager in the management of the overall project construction scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead the on-site project team management for smaller scale projects.
- Manage subcontractor contracts in coordination with the Senior Construction Manager.
- Assist Senior Construction Manager and Project Management teams with the change order process, including proper notification and supporting data gathering/organization for Project Manager review and processing.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Associate Construction Managers.
- Actively create a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
- Serve as Project Site Safety Leader in absence of full time EHS Supervisor.
- Estimate cost of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to successfully manage change during a project.
- Assist in planning the execution of startup, commissioning, and closeout processes.
- Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in our quality management practices.
- At minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 7+ years of experience in a construction related field managing industrial engineering and construction projects.
- Ability to read plans, drawings, specifications and interpret data.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Project Scheduling and Job Costing.
- Knowledge and familiarity with construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations, safety planning, means and methods.
- Travel required (75‑100%).
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include being a confident communicator with the ability to manage quality, schedule, and budget for multi‑discipline fast paced construction projects.
