Location: City of Albany
Assistant Operations Manager
2 years (with opportunity for extension)
40 hours/week
Remote work but client works on EST.
Contractor must have a computer, cell phone, and access to reliable high-speed internet.
Must work as Experis hourly w/2 employee- (position is not open to sub-vendor or Corp. to Corp. or Stem/OPT)
Hourly rate 45.00 per hour with Experis benefits
OverviewThe selected candidate will assist the Program team in daily operation action items such as, but not limited to award letters, modifications, assignments, and extensions that are taken prior to incentives being released.
This position will also assist in the development and execution of operational processes and client information center, Knowledgebase.
Required Skills- Data entry experience
- Operations/SOP/process improvement experience
- Knowledge base management experience
- High attention to detail and process-oriented approach
- Knowledge/skills in any of the following is a plus:
Salesforce, NEIS, MS Teams, MS Excel, Asana - Energy experience is not required but interest in clean energy initiatives is nice to have.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of Oracle/People Soft or similar platform with a high volume of data entry; like clients own NEIS platform.
- Ability to understand and implement Program Rules outlined in their respective Program Manuals, developing and streamlining operational processes for a range of Programs.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to pick up processes quickly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Database knowledge and ability to adapt to new systems/software.
- Resource will be providing operational assistance to PMs on these programs (award letters, review project modifications, assignments, reaching out to contractors for required documentation, updating portal in NEIS, SOP documentation, etc.).
- Aligning the two programs so that all processes align to create efficiencies.
- Ensure SOPs are up-to-date, organized, and uploaded in the appropriate knowledge base.
- Use client templates (e.g., memos to files) to document changes, processes, etc.
- Ask questions about why things are done a certain time, for operations improvement.
- Review of incentive applications.
- Execution of award letters, assignments, project modifications, and extension requests.
- Assist in the development and organization of Standard Operating Procedures; and other duties as assigned that contribute toward the goals and objectives of the NY-SUN program.
- NY SUN Program – installation of solar projects for residential, commercial clients and commercial industrial programs; will be focusing on low income customers.
- Energy Storage Program – residential and retail (commercial large scale systems) storage program to provide energy backup etc.
