Base pay range$46,737.00/yr - $63,710.00/yr
Duties Description- Track and monitor incoming new, current, and surplus inventory stored at warehouse.
- Accept and confirm HQ orders are delivered to the warehouse and notify appropriate departments.
- Assign storage locations of all items received in warehouse including new deliveries and current inventory.
- Update inventory tracker and run inventory reports as needed.
- Assists in monitoring reproduction and mailroom inventory stored at warehouse.
- Notify Reproduction or Mailroom Supervisor if items are below minimum inventory quantities.
- Coordinate with office supply purchaser and send items via interoffice mail to HQ when requested.
- Assist departments in moving items from storage bays
- Coordinate with Albany Division Maintenance to move palletized items to and from HQ/warehouse.
- Prepare pallets for shipment to other divisions as needed, coordinate with divisions for pick-up.
- Prepare surplus items sold; take item out of storage, ensure pallet is loaded and wrapped correctly.
- Coordinate with Albany division maintenance for the removal of any access pallets.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness: inventory is stored properly and aisles remain clear of debris.
- Retrieve requested boxes from storage locations in warehouse.
- Coordinate with mailroom for delivery of items to HQ.
- Backup for HQ Mail run (9:30am & 1:30pm)
- Back up for MVO Mail run (Morning & Afternoon)
Duties require use of forklift, manual pallet jack and other equipment to move palletized items within the warehouse. Certification is required.
Report any concerns including HVAC, and health and safety to Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications- Current New York State employees with one year or more of qualifying permanent service allocated to a Grade 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section?70.1 of the NYS Civil Service Law.
- Current New York State Thruway Authority employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service as an office assistant, clerical, or keyboarding title allocated to a Grade 6 or higher.

- Currently a New York State Thruway Authority employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service as an office assistant, clerical, or keyboarding title allocated to a Grade 6 or higher.

- This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
- At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
