Join Our TeamPicotte Companies is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team at our Corporate Woods office in Albany, NY. This role supports the financial operations of our commercial property portfolio and works closely with accounting, property management, and operations staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze general ledger activity and financial statements, including variance analysis
- Process daily cash receipts (checks, ACH, wires) and perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Ensure accurate tenant billing and rent roll integrity in accordance with lease terms
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist with billing, collections, and supporting documentation
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper classification; coordinate with Accounts Payable
- Maintain tenant and vendor insurance certificates and track renewals
- Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial schedules
- Support job costing, work-in-progress reporting, and year-end work papers
- Maintain organized records, support internal controls, and assist with audits as needed
- Collaborate across departments to support accurate property-level financial reporting
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience: Accounting experience preferred; property management or real estate experience a plus

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency; experience with property/accounting software a plus - Skills & Qualities: Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, strong communicator, and able to manage recurring deadlines

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year starting based on experience
